Siebka hits buzzer-beater

Slippery Rock girls edge Keystone Oaks in thriller

Marissa Siebka drove the length of the floor and hit a jumper from the elbow at the buzzer in overtime to give Slippery Rock a dramatic 60-59 road win over Keystone Oaks in high school girls basketball action Wednesday night.

Sedona Campbell scored 22 points to lead the Rockets (3-1).

Steph Croll added 17 for Slippery Rock.

Siebka scored eight in the win. She also had six steals, five assists and five rebounds.

Lexey Shick led the way for Union with 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Nick Huff struck out in the 10th frame to lead the Butler boys to a dramatic five-pin win in Game 1 that sent the Golden Tornado on their way to a 2,939-2,707 series win over Knoch.

Huff, a junior, rolled a 683 series with a high game of 258 to pace Butler.

Hunter Lefever also added a 623 series for the Golden Tornado.

Derek McGill led Knoch with a 616 series and a high game of 245.

In the girls match, Mercedes Belch rolled a 588 series with a high game of 223 to pace the Golden Tornado to a series win of 2,550-1,795 over the Knights.

Chelsea Cimbala led Knoch with a 457 series.
