State Police, Butler1:03 p.m. Friday — A 62-year-old woman was injured when her SUV hit an embankment at Minich and Jamisonville roads in Center Township.The woman, who was driving alone, was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.State police said it was not known yet why the woman crashed.4:10 p.m. Tuesday — Brandon R. Koszela, 37, of New Castle was charge with attempting to furnish drug free urine when asked to provide a sample for parole.Police said Koszela was found with a bulb syringe duct taped to his leg.He was placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.

State Police, MercerFriday — State police investigated a death in a Sandy Lake borough home. Police said the 50-year-old woman appeared to have died due to natural causes.3:18 p.m. Friday — A Subaru Forrester driven by Megan R. Obley, 21, of Cranberry Township crashed into a concrete barrier that separates the two Exit 24 ramps on Interstate 80.The impact caused the vehicle to roll onto its side. Obley suffered a minor injury. A passenger in the vehicle, Jamie E. Dottavio, 20, of Grove City, suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to Grove City Medical Center.Obley was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

State Police, Kittanning6:40 a.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Keith D. Myers, 18, of Freeport crashed into the back of a vehicle driven by Sharon M. Slomka, 51, of Lower Burrell along Route 28 in O’Hara Township.Police said Slomka slowed for traffic and Myers did not stop in time.Both drivers suffered injuries and were taken to UPMC Presbyterian hospital by ambulance.
