Mortar blasts kill 3 at UN base in Mali
DAKAR, Senegal — A mortar attack Saturday on a United Nations base in northern Mali killed at least three people, including two U.N. peacekeepers and a contractor.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack but Islamic extremists are suspected. In 2013, the French pushed Islamic militants out of Mali’s northern cities.
