Judge to consider plans for Conneaut

ERIE — A federal bankruptcy judge will soon consider dueling plans to determine the future of a troubled amusement park.

Yet there are objections to both blueprints for Conneaut Lake Park, according to the Erie Times-News.

Trustees of the park plan to continue operating the facility, sell non-essential property and repay debts over a 20-year period.

But local governments and schools want to sell the park and its assets to recoup more than $1 million in delinquent property taxes. The nonprofit board that runs the park filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year.
