CHERRY TWP — The Moniteau School Board Monday night approved a 3 percent raise retroactive to Oct. 26 for Superintendent George Svolos.

With the increase, his new salary is $112,550. His previous salary was $106.090.

“We completed our annual evaluation and this was the outcome,” said board member Trixie Heck.

Svolos’ last raise was 3 percent in 2013.

“Mr. Svolos is very dedicated,” said board member Melissa DeMatteis. “He’s proven that he’s invested in the school district, the students and the community. He met all goals that were set the previous year.”

The superintendent’s goals for 2015-2016 will be on the school district website, www.moniteau.k12.pa.us, later this week.
