Brett, Wimer
Sonja Brett and Seth Wimer, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage June 27 at Uptown in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Jimmy Finley officiated. A reception followed at Uptown.
The bride is the daughter of Mervin Hayman of Sarasota, Fla., and Tybe Brett of Mount Lebanon. Parents of the bridegroom are Dale and Karen Wimer of Portersville.
The maid of honor was Judy Staub of Charleston, S.C. Bridesmaids included Ravit Shpiez of Oakdale and Katie Portante of Seattle.
Performing the duties of best man was Travis Wimer of Pittsburgh. Groomsmen included Doug Goetz of Philadelphia and Ryan Beilstein of Evans City.
The ring bearer was Sir Nigel Woofington of Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Mount Lebanon High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Barnard College in 2008 and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. She is a teacher.
The bridegroom graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2005. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. He is an accountant.
Following a honeymoon trip to Greece, the couple is making their home in Pittsburgh.
