Hotel worker who sexually assaulted 2 boys sentenced

Nancy Fields

A hotel employee who fondled two teenaged boys and performed lap dances for them for where she worked was sentenced Tuesday.

Nancy A. Field, 34, of Beaver County pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecent exposure.

Butler County Judge William Shaffer sentenced Fields to serve 6 to 18 months in prison followed by five years of probation.

Investigators believe Fields sexually abused the twin boys, who then were 15 years old, between September and January 2013 when they lived at the Candlewood Suites on Route 19 in Cranberry Township with their mother.

The alleged abuse happened when the boys’ mother was away undergoing medical treatments, including surgeries, according to court documents.

Fields, who was a front desk clerk and night auditor at the hotel, knew the boys were alone, police said. Additionally, Fields allegedly showed the boys naked images of herself.

The boys did not attended the sentencing hearing, but their mother did.

She told the judge that Fields’ conduct had caused “heartaches and headaches expected to last a lifetime ... I only hope the same happens to the defendant.”

When given a chance to speak or apologize, Fields, who also is a mother, told the judge, “I just want to go home to my kids.”

Fields, who has credit for 176 days she spent in jail awaiting resolution of the case, could have been paroled early if she was well behaved while incarcerated. However, court officials said she already has a misconduct.
