6:06 p.m. Saturday — A 28-year-old Templeton man was caught with suspected heroin and drug contraband following a traffic stop on Route 28, north of the Buffalo Bridge in South Buffalo Township. The man, who police did not identify, was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped.

2 a.m. Saturday — A 30-year-old Kittanning man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for an undisclosed equipment violation on Pine Hill Road in West Franklin Township. Police did not identify the man, who was also found with a small amount of suspected marijuana and a marijuana pipe.

Charges are pending toxicology and lab results.

1:05 a.m. Saturday — A 23-year-old Saxonburg man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs after he was stopped for speeding on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County. The suspect was clocked traveling 91 mph in a 55 mph zone.

He was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for a blood test. Charges are pending toxicology results.

Tuesday — A burglar made off with several unspecified items after breaking into a Freeport area home. The burglary at the house in the 500 block of Freeport Road happened between Nov. 9 and 17.

9:06 a.m. Nov. 14 — A hit-and-run driver struck a car in the Shop ’n’ Save parking lot at the Franklin Village Mall in East Franklin Township.

Nov. 14 — Unknown vandals overnight shot out windows of six cars in East Franklin Township. The cars were parked on Bluff, Harrison and Cleveland streets. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-543-2011.

Nov. 14 — A car belonging to a 24-year-old Rimersburg woman was one of two vehicles vandalized while parked in the 100 block of Keystone Boulevard in Rayburn Township. The vehicles’ windows were broken in the vandalism that occurred Nov. 13 or 14.

2:50 a.m. Saturday — A Wisconsin woman lost control of her car after falling asleep and crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Police cited Shamila S. Williams, 23, of Green Bay for careless driving.

Saturday — A thief stole a cell phone from a New Castle woman’s purse that was in the back office at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The theft happened between 10 a.m. and noon.

9:23 a.m. Thursday — One person was hurt in a one-vehicle wreck on George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. The crash happened when Wade R. Dell, 67, of Stoneboro lost control of his car and it rolled onto its roof.

Dell, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries. Police cited Dell for driving at an unsafe speed.
