Grove City High School sophomore and District 10 tennis champion Emily Gordon lost to the eventual state champion in the second round of the PIAA Tournament recently.

Gordon defeated last year's state champion, Tyra Ott, in straight sets — 6-3, 6-1 — in the first round. Gordon had to retire to Ott in last year's state tourney due to injury.

Elene Tsokilauri, a senior from Delco Christian Academy, defeated Gordon 6-2, 6-3 and went on to win the state title. Tsokilauri recently moved to Pennsylvania.
