Top-seeded A-C Valley rebounded from a first-set loss to Smethport, winning the next three to advance in the District 9 Class A girls volleyball playoffs with a 24-26, 25-13, 25-16, 25-12 win Thursday night.

The host Falcons were led by Morgan Cratty’s eight kills, seven blocks and six digs.

Katie Stumpner added 29 digs and eight kills, Alyssa Babcock 20 assists and 11 digs and Halee Wetzel and Josey Terwilliger both contributed 12 kills.

A-C Valley (16-0) moves on to the semifinals, which will be held Saturday at Saint Marys High School.

Boys SoccerHarbor Creek defeated Grove City 1-0 in a District 10 Class AA semifinal playoff in Meadville.The Eagles finish the season with an overall record of 17-4.
