A. Marcella Brandenburg Douthett

A. Marcella Brandenburg Douthett, 87, of Renfrew passed away Saturday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born April 15, 1928, in Fombell, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Ida McCandless Brandenburg.

Marcella retired with 15 years as a real estate agent for Northwood Reality.

She was a member of the North Main Street Church of God, Butler.

Marcella was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed traveling and had visited all the states plus Switzerland and Germany. Marcella loved the aspens of Colorado, which she visited often.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Claire B. Douthett, who she married Sept. 20, 1946; three daughters, Sharon (Michael) Jett of Prospect, Vicki (Michael) Forbes of Connoquenessing and Patricia (Michael) Douthett; one brother, Alvin Brandenburg of Zelienople; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; six step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

DOUTHETT — Services and burial for A. Marcella Brandenburg Douthett, who died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, were made today at the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.The family has suggested memorial donations be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.A.
