Gail and Van Double

Van and Gail Double of East Brady and Florida will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner at 1844 Restaurant and a Panama Canal cruise.

Double married the former Gail McKee on Oct. 8, 1955, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Chicora.

They have two children, Beth Double (David) Burkhart of Springfield and Philip (Christina) Double of East Brady.

They also have four grandchildren.

Double was the maintenance manager for Penreco and retired in 1990.

Mrs. Double is the retired owner and operator of a beauty salon.

The Doubles are members of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Chicora and Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Port Charlotte, Fla.

They also are members of Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte.
