Bryce Hamby scored two goals Saturday as the Freeport boys soccer team defeated Springdale, 5-2, in a non-section game.

Freshman Stevie Teorsky scored his first varsity goal for the Yellowjackets (5-6, 3-4) while Mario Borino and Kevin Lynch added single tallies.

Freeport hosts Deer Lakes on Tuesday.

Mars 2, Central Catholic 1 — Cole Ferguson and Spence Hnath each found the net as the Planets (10-0-1) edged Central Catholic at the Pine-Richland tournament.

Karns City 8, Forest 0 — Spenser Myers and Jace Ebbitt scored three goals each for the Gremlins (10-0). Noah Pollock and Conrad Snyder scored one goal each.Nick Dodge had two saves for the shutout. Karns City plays at Redbank Valley Thursday.
