Lucas Bowser scored on a 1-yard run with 1 minute, 11 seconds remaining to help Union topple Punxsutawney 20-14 on the road in high school football action Friday night.

Dugan Gallagher rushed for 122 yards for the Golden Knights, who scored their first win over Punxsutawney since 2011.

Cole Morris also rushed for 167 yards on nine carries and scored twice for Union (2-2).

Freeport 42, West Shamokin 14

Ryan Weigold threw for three touchdowns and scored two on the ground in the Yellowjackets' Allegheny Conference win over West Shamokin on the road.

Brandon Hochbein caught touchdown passes of 19 and 7 yards for the Yellowjackets (4-0, 4-0). Justin Brestensky caught the other for Freeport. Weigold scored on runs of 21 and 5 yards.

CW North Catholic 41, Brentwood 6

Mario Latronica scored three touchdowns to help the Trojans score a Black Hills Conference win on the road.

Erick Taylor also scored two touchdowns on rushes and threw a 39-yard score to Keith Wells for North Catholic (4-0, 4-0).

Greenville 28, Grove City 7

Brayden Martin scored the lone touchdown for the Eagles Friday night in Greenville, catching a 19-yard pass from Kameron Patterson in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-7.

The Trojans scored the next three touchdowns to earn a region win.

Patterson finished with 213 passing yards for Grove City (0-4).
