SR, Karns City earn soccer shutouts

Chase Baxa and Matt Dempsey scored goals to help Slippery Rock earn a 2-0 boys soccer region win over Wilmington.

Jackson Kerchis earned the shutout in net for the Rockets (3-2, 1-0).

Karns City 8, Redbank Valley 0 — Spenser Myers recorded a hat trick to help the Gremlins blank the Bulldogs.

Jace Ebbitt and Noah Claypoole both scored twice for Karns City (7-0).

Boys GolfSlippery Rock fired a 336 at North Hills Golf Course in Corry, completing its first-ever undefeated season in region play.The Rockets also clinched their first region title since 2011.
