INDIANA — The Indiana County coroner has confirmed the body of a 19-year-old Indiana (Pa.) University student was found on the school's campus.

Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. says the body of Devin Lecomte, of Ashville, was discovered on Papermill Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

University officials say the freshman was planning to study fine arts at IUP and had just started classes last week.

Overman says the cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests Tuesday.

Campus police are continuing to investigate the death.

PITTSBURGH — An assistant football coach at Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh has been placed on leave after a student reported being injured by the coach during football practice last month.Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh says the incident happened Aug. 13, but wasn't reported to the school until Aug. 25.Pugh says the matter has been turned over to city police, who have yet to announce the results of their investigation.Pugh won't say how the student was hurt or whether he required hospitalization.
