PRATTVILLE, Ala. — Kris Tamulis counted down from 29 to 1 during her final-day trek at the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic.

One was definitely the most important number for the 34-year-old player.

Tamulis played 29 holes Sunday in the twice-delayed tournament before securing victory No. 1 in the 186th attempt of her LPGA Tour career. She finished a third-round 67 and closed with a 65 to beat Yani Tseng and Austin Ernst by a stroke.
