Saturday — Someone hurled a rock through the second-floor window of an apartment at The Heights apartment complex in Slippery Rock Township. The vandalism happened between 12:01 and 5 a.m.

8:45 p.m. Friday — A thief stole a Slippery Rock man’s Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone, valued at $700, from a bathroom counter at the Italian Village Pizza at Clearview Mall in Center Township.

1:55 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Scott E. Mitchell II, 20, of New Brighton, Beaver County, struck a utility pole along Route 68 just west of Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police cited Mitchell for disregarding traffic lanes.

Aug. 9 — A credit card stolen from a Donegal Township home was later used at a Dollar General store in New Kensington, Westmoreland County, to make $400 in unauthorized purchases. A 35-year-old Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, man is suspected in the theft, which was captured on store surveillance video.

5:15 p.m. Saturday — A CO2 gun was found in the Allegheny River under the Foxburg Bridge. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 814-226-1710.

11:31 p.m. Thursday — Gilbert A. Dawson, 33, of Rimersburg was hurt when he lost control of his pickup truck and hit a utility pole along Henry Road in Toby Township. Dawson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

Police said Dawson fled the scene. He was later identified and cited for hit-and-run, failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and a seat belt violation.

The Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.

8 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Debra Rowan, 55, of Sarver was rear-ended by a suspected drunken driver on Route 28 about one-half mile south of exit 14 in Tarentum, Allegheny County. The suspect, Sean Folcik, 24, of McDonald, Washington County, was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for a blood test.

4:55 p.m. Sunday — A 64-year-old Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township.

3 p.m. Friday — Anthony A. Moss Jr., 27, of New Castle was hurt when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree along Route 19 in Springfield Township. Moss, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Tuesday — An identity thief used a Pine Township man’s stolen credit card to purchase thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

7 p.m. April 23 — Cars driven Katherine Ann Zeli, 19, of Canonsburg, Washington County, and Leah J. Kowalewski, 19, of North East, Erie County, collided in the parking lot of the Bath & Body Works store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.
