2:11 p.m. Aug. 23 — Howard Cantley, 52, of Butler was charged with hit and run and other traffic offenses after he allegedly struck the side of another vehicle on Route 422 and fled the scene.

Police said Mark Mueller, 21, of Karns City reported that a golden Hyundai Santa Fe passed his vehicle in the right lane and cut him off, colliding with the right front side of his car.

The Santa Fe sped off without stopping. Police determined Cantley was the driver of the car following an investigation.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]

3 p.m. Aug. 14 — Earl W. Wack 32, and Rickey L. McLain, 27, unknown addresses, were allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.

Both men had active warrants and McClain allegedly was found to be driving under the influence.

Both men were taken to Armstrong County Jail.

[naviga:h3]State Police, New Castle[/naviga:h3]

4:31 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Gay L. Kline, 81, of Volant collided with a car driven by Kyle J. Suerth, 25, of Slippery Rock at the intersection of Cutoff Road and Eastbrook Road in Hickory Township, Lawrence County.

Police said Kline took a wide turn as she attempted to turn onto Cutoff Road. Both cars suffered moderate front-end damage.

Kline was cited for a traffic violation.
