Octoberfest rummage sale set

EVANS CITY — St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, 426 E. Main St., will hold a rummage sale during Evans City Octoberfest from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 17, 18 and 19 in the old hall behind the church.

Parking will be available behind the church.

Costumed dogs part of fundraiser

ADAMS TWP — The third annual Bark for Books Dog Walk will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 19at Adams Township Community Park, 698 Valencia Road, Mars. The event will benefit the Mars Public Library.

Prizes will be awarded for the dogs with the best costumes. Participants will receive gift bags and hot dogs.

Dogs must be on a leash. A parent or guardian must accompany children under age 18.

Church plans ladies’ event

SAXONBURG — Clinton Presbyterian Church, 197 Glade Mill Road, will host a ladies’ pampering event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19.

Merchandise from local vendors will be available and will include crafts, yard art, baked goods and other items. There will be a basket raffle and free massages.

Proceeds will benefit the local church network crisis fund.
