Getsay, Geesey
Sarah Marie Getsay of Butler and Zachary Stephen Geesey of Towson, MD., were united in marriage June 21 at Rustic Acres Farm in Volant. Dr. Tony Reggi officiated. A reception followed at Rustic Acres Farm.
The bride is the daughter of Matthew Getsay and Amy Monfre of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Nancy and Stephen Geesey of Lutherville, Md.
The honor attendant was Jerrah Thomas of Butler. Bridesmaids included Olivia Reddick of Butler, Kara DeAngelis of Denver, Haley Huff of Philadelphia and Amanda Pegues of Woodbury, N.J.
The flower girl was Lily Kelly of Jacksonville, Fla.
Performing the duties of best man was Alexander Newhart of Havre De Grace, Md. Groomsmen included Vincent Murphy of Marmora, N.J., Benjamin Goldblatt of Philadelphia, Mike Aleixo of Wilmington, Del., and Samuel Geesey of Towson.
The ring bearer was Alex Love of Butler.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Butler High School. She is a 2015 graduate of Drexel University where she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.
The bridegroom graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in 2010. He is a 2015 graduate of Drexel University where he received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering. He is a second lieutenant armor officer in the U.S. Army.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Jamaica.
