Hugh Jackman

SYDNEY — Hugh Jackman is knocking an item off his bucket list.

The Hollywood star plans a concert tour of his native Australia starting in November based on his successful one-man show on Broadway.

“Anybody who knows me knows that keeping secrets is not my forte ... today is the announcement of a true bucket list moment for me,” he told reporters in Sydney.

The “Broadway to Oz” show will mix songs with Jackman’s own storytelling. He’ll perform with choirs, dancers and musicians, singing songs from shows he was part of or wanted to be.

While best-known as Wolverine in the “X-Men” films, the actor won a Tony Award as lead actor in the musical “The Boy From Oz,” based on the life of Australian singer-songwriter Peter Allen. He’s also been a repeat host of the Tonys.

“You will get to know the real me,” Jackman said.

The eight-date concert tour opens in Melbourne on Nov. 24.

NEW YORK — Sean Hayes will play God Almighty in the City of Angels next year.

Producers of the “An Act of God” said the Emmy Award-winning former “Will and Grace” star will step into the big role starting Jan. 30 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. The divine part was filled this summer by Jim Parsons.

The 90-minute play is a chance for the Almighty to set the record straight — like that he doesn’t hate gays and he can’t help anyone sing better — and update his Ten Commandments.
