Grove City PoliceTuesday — A woman reported that $140 was taken from her purse in the 400 block of Bessemer Avenue. The theft reportedly happened between 10:45 a.m. and noon.

State Police, Butler10:21 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified motorcyclist was hurt in a one-vehicle crash on Trimbur Road about one mile off Route 268 in Donegal Township. Police are investigating but an accident report was not available this morning. A medical helicopter flew the driver to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. The Chicora Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.4 p.m. Tuesday — Austin M. Rottman, 23, of Fenelton was arrested after allegedly assaulting a 20-year-old woman at a home on Shuler Road in Clearfield Township. Rottman was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.

State Police, Kittanning7:40 p.m. Saturday — Amy L. Culp, 38, of Kittanning faces retail theft charges after she was caught allegedly shoplifting $47 in merchandise at the Walmart at Hilltop Plaza in East Franklin Township.Thursday — Property was stolen from a 53-year-old woman’s home in the 400 block of Creek Valley Road in Bethel Township. The theft happened between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. Thursday.

State Police, New Castle2:23 a.m. Sunday — Travis Powell, 20, of New Castle was cited for underage drinking after a vehicle he was riding in crashed on Princeton Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.1:50 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Rebecca M. Hoffman, 26, of New Castle and a pickup truck driven by Robert D. Patterson, 48, of Portersville collided at Fox Road and Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said Hoffman was cited for a stop sign violation.Friday — An unknown vandal damaged two mailboxes on McConnells Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vandalism happened between 7:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.
