Anne (Gornick) Nannery

Anne (Gornick) Nannery, a longtime resident of San Francisco, Calif., formerly of Penn Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 18, 2015.

Born Oct. 24, 1920, in Verona, Allegheny County, she graduated in 1939 from Penn Township High School.

Anne served her country nobly as a Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service, known as WAVES, during World War II, from 1945 to 1946.

In 1947, she graduated from Robert Morris College.

She was a loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend.

She is survived by sisters, Agnes (Charles) Hilderbrand and Frances Sienicki.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edmund; her brothers, Marcus, Tony and Steve; and her sisters, Mary and Marge.

NANNERY — Services and interment will be private for Anne (Gornick) Nannery, who died Saturday, July 18, 2015.
