Bova to build addition

New warehouse to cost $200,000

MIDDLESEX TWP — An addition to the Bova Corp. will be built soon, a company official says.

The steel fabrication company will build a new warehouse after getting approval from the township supervisors Wednesday evening.

Company president Peter Bova said the warehouse is being built because of a “need for space.”

“We’re doing what it takes. I like it out here. I don’t want to leave,” he said.

The warehouse addition will be about 5,800 square feet on McFann Road and cost about $200,000.

Bova said new jobs will be created with the addition although he said the number is “up in the air.” The company already has created 12 new jobs this year alone.

“We’re already well-staffed,” Bova said.

Township Supervisor Mike Spreng said approval came after the planning commission and the township engineer examined the plan.

“We’ve reviewed the plan several times,” Spreng said.

Bova said construction should take about three months. The company hopes to start the project soon.
