Dorothy Mae Kupec, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday in Salisbury, Md.

Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Charles Gent and Rose Brooks Gent. She was the sixth of 11 children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George B. Kupec Sr., in 1993.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, George B. and Marsha, Stephen R. and Maureen, Thomas W. and Linda, Ronald J. and Donna, and Kenneth A. and Marlys.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Christina, Stephen, Heather, Justin, Brandon, Evan, Peter, Tabitha and Zachary.

Also surviving are 10 great-great-grandchildren, Georgie, Clayton, Emma, Lauren, Nate, Levi, Ella, Claire, Kate and Caleb.

There are three beautiful babies on the way.

She also is survived by her two sisters and a brother, Lillian Hobson, Rosemary Ray and Charles Gent.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Raleigh Gent, A.J. Gent, Paul Gent, Woodrow Gent, Genevieve Gent, James Gent, and Robert Gent.

Dorothy loved being a full-time mother and wife. She enjoyed doing crosswords and other different word and number puzzles. She enjoyed gardening and swimming in her pool with her friends and family.

After the passing of her husband, she began working at Walmart.

KUPEC — Friends of Dorothy Mae Kupec, who died Sunday, July 26, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.The funeral service without additional visitation will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, with the Rev. Matthew Barry, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Gruenwald Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff of Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their care and dedication of Dorothy.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's honor to Ocean City/Berlin Optimist Youth Endowment Fund, C/O Richard Caproni 1208 Ocean Parkway, Berlin, MD 21811.Arrangements are under the direction of the H.
