Middlesex Twp. company to expand with warehouse addition

MIDDLESEX TWP — A company that already has added 12 jobs this year plans to add a few more with its expansion plans.

The Bova Corp., a steel fabrication company, will build a new warehouse after getting approval Wednesday night from the township supervisors.

Company president Peter Bova said the warehouse is being built because of a “need for space.”

“We’re doing what it takes. I like it out here. I don’t want to leave,” he said.

The warehouse addition will be about 5,800 square feet on McFann Road and cost about $200,000.

Bova said new jobs will be created with the addition although he said the number is “up in the air.” The company already has created 12 new jobs this year alone.

“We’re already well-staffed,” Bova said.

It has 34 workers now.

Township Supervisor Mike Spreng said approval came after the planning commission and the township engineer examined the plan.

Bova said construction should take about three months and work should start soon.
