[naviga:h3]Butler Twp Police[/naviga:h3]

Tuesday — Police charged Aaron Arnold, 32, and Mackenzie Peters, 19, both of Butler, in connection with a shoplifting incident July 17 at the Butler Commons' Walmart. The suspects allegedly removed $138 in merchandise from the store and the following day appeared at the customer service desk and returned the items for a store credit.

Arnold and Peters are both charged with retail theft.

7:41 p.m. Friday — Robert Runyan, 25, of New Galilee, Beaver County, was found with suspected marijuana and other contraband following a traffic stop on New Castle Road near the Target store. Runyan is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

12:57 p.m. Friday — Simon J. Miller, 28, of Fenelton was caught with suspected heroin and cocaine and other contraband at Butler Memorial Hospital. Miller is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

[naviga:h3]Buffalo Twp Police[/naviga:h3]

July 21 — Zachary B. Morrow, 25, of Mars was charged with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop last month on Ekastown Road.

Police said they stopped Morrow near Moe's Smoked Meats about 1:40 a.m. June 27 after he was spotted driving erratically.

A blood test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.148 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

He is charged with DUI, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving without valid inspection, driving without insurance and careless driving.

[naviga:h3]Middlesex Twp Police[/naviga:h3]

July 21 — Michelle L. Dauer, 28, of Pittsburgh was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop shortly after 2 a.m. July 7 on Route 8.

Dauer was taken for a blood test after failing field sobriety tests. A toxicology report showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.197 percent, more than double the state's 0.08 percent legal limit, court documents said.

In addition to driving under the influence, she is charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and reckless driving.

July 15 — Police charged Donald Paul Graham Jr., 18, of Adams Township with threatening a former 16-year-old girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

He is accused of sending text messages “threatening and harassing in nature” to the Middlesex Township girl, according to court documents. The texts also allegedly included threats to shoot her boyfriend.

Graham, who is charged with terroristic threats and harassment, is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

[naviga:h3]Penn Twp Police[/naviga:h3]

July 21 — William R. Dingel Jr., 49, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a May 23 traffic stop on Route 8.

According to court documents, police also found a pistol hidden in his boot.

A blood test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.229 percent, or nearly three times the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.

Dingel is charged with carrying a gun without a permit, a felony. He also is charged with driving under the influence, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving with an open container of alcohol.

[naviga:h3]Butler County Drug Task Force[/naviga:h3]

Friday — Heather M. Slivan, 37, of Winfield Township, an inmate at the Butler County Prison, was caught with a hydrocodone pill in her bra. She is charged with felony counts of smuggling a controlled substance into the prison and possession of a controlled substance.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]

3:40 a.m. Monday — Darius J. Davis, 18, of Parker lost control of his car, which hit a utility pole along West Eldorado Road in Parker Township. He was cited for careless driving.

10:50 p.m. July 22 — Michael Dorcy, 55, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 between Marhung and Weckerly roads in Penn Township.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

July 21 — A suspected thief and forger altered a check written by an 87-year-old Grove City man before the check was cashed at a bank in Pine Township, Mercer County. Police did not identify the suspect, who changed the check to show a much higher amount.
