Kennedy 95th birthday
Winifred Beatty Kennedy of East Butler celebrated her 95th birthday with a family picnic.
The former Winifred Beatty was born July 27, 1920, in Butler. She married the late Anthony Kennedy on Aug. 20, 1946, in Butler.
She has four children, Dale W. (Becky) Kennedy of Butler, David L. (Anna) Kennedy of Melbourne, Fla., LuAnn (Ken) Cherry of Butler and Douglas L. Kennedy of East Butler.
She also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone and worked at the Ford Garage, J.C. Penney and Magnetics.
Kennedy is the oldest living member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church.
She recently became a member of the General Richard Butler chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
