Butler native dances her way into 'View'
A Butler native and dancer got national television exposure this week.
Taylor Green, 23, now of Brooklyn, appeared on Wednesday’s edition of “The View” on ABC as a background dancer for musical performer Little Anthony and the Imperials. She was placed directly behind Little Anthony.
“I got a lot of airtime,” Green said Friday.
Casting for dancers took place Monday, and Green said she knew one of the people involved, which helped her get hired. She said this was the most exposure she has gotten in her dancing career.
Green graduated from Butler High School in 2010 and graduated from Temple University in 2014 with bachelor’s degrees in dance and advertising.
In 2012, she completed the Broadway Dance Center Summer Intern Program. She attended Lee’s School of Dance in Butler and Lisa Marie’s School of Dance in Freeport while growing up.
She moved to New York in January. Green, the daughter of Alisa Green and Ralph McElhaney, also has appeared in music videos and theater performances.
Her next project will be as a dancer for the Kalamandir Dance Company, a modern Indian dance company.
