SV grad Helisek in All-Star GameWASHINGTON, Pa. — Seneca Valley graduate and Washington Wild Things pitcher Kyle Helisek has been selected to play in the Frontier League All-Star Game.The game will be played July 15 in Schaumburg, Ill.Helisek has a 1.95 earned run average for the Wild Things. He has struck out 31 batters in 37 innings. The left-hander spent three seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals system.Wild Things shortstop Austin Wobrock has also been selected for the All-Star Game.

O’Donnell blanks SlidersSean O’Donnell tossed his third shutout of the season, striking out seven in seven innings, to lead Saxonburg to an 8-0 win over the Mars Sliders.Dustin Uhlman, Andy Fritz, Garret Barto and Matt Baranchak all doubled for Saxonburg (11-9).Zelienople 5, Mars 2 — Todd Forsythe doubled, singled and drove in three to power Zelienople (4-15).
