CFCU Union will hold golf outing

Clearview Federal Credit Union will hold a Charity Golf Outing at Beaver Valley Golf Club On Saturday, August 29, 2015, located at 725 Sixth Ave., Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Registration with the new lowered price of $70 will benefit Variety the Children’s Charity.

Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, steak dinner, refreshments, registration gift and a chance to win prizes. A silent auction will also take place.

Fore the Children golf event

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County is still accepting golfer registrations for the 2015 Fore the Children Golf Classic July 17 at Lake Arthur Country Club. The event will feature former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Mark Recchi as a special guest participant.

The cost for the vent is $175 per person or $600 for a foursome.

It includes a round of golf, breakfast, lunch beverages, contests, dinner prizes and auctions featuring selection of Pittsburgh sports memorabilia and other items.

The tournament will be in a scramble format and start at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds from the event support the BBS of Butler County program and at-risk children in the community.

CWNC to hold softball camp

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic fast-pitch softball team coaches and varsity players will hold a softball camp from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 3 to 7 at the CWNC High School softball field.

The camp is for girls entering grades 5 to 8 and will focus on basic fundamentals of the following skills: infield, outfield, hitting, bunting, base running, pitching and catching.
