Jonathan Lee “Jon” Buchanan, 28, of New Castle, Lawrence County, passed away Monday morning in New Castle.

Born Dec. 6, 1986, in North Richland Hills, Texas, he was the son of Richard Buchanan and Rita Parsons Buchanan.

He was affiliated with Assembly of God at New Castle.

“Jon” attended Moniteau High School.

Surviving are his mother, Rita and her fiance, Dan Metzger Jr., of New Castle and his father, Richard of Butler; one brother, Scott Steffanus of Grove City; five sisters, Deborah Morgan of Hooker (Karns City), Karen Steffanus of Sandy Lake, Brenda DeNinno, Kathy Keene of Eau Claire and Jodi Slater of eastern Pennsylvania; and a number of nieces and nephews.

BUCHANAN — Friends of Jonathan Lee “Jon” Buchanan, who died Monday, June 29, 2015, may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S.
