Bradford "Brad" DeLess

Bradford E. DeLess, 56, of Butler passed away Saturday following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Aug. 21, 1958, in Butler, he was the son of Earla Hackett DeLess and the late Richard DeLess.

Brad was employed by Rizzi and Sons as a water and sewage pipe laborer.

He was very strong in his faith.

Brad loved to travel, and he especially enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Canada.

He was a member of the Irish Brotherhood and a life member of the North American Anglers.

He is survived by his mother, Earla Hackett DeLess of Butler; two brothers, Mark R. DeLess and his wife, Shelley, of Portersville and Bryon S. DeLess and his wife, Beth, of Butler.

He also is survived by three nephews, Matthew DeLess and his wife, Roxanna, of Butler, Mason DeLess of Butler, who was also Brad’s godson, and Spencer DeLess of Butler; and three nieces, Marcia Kurtz and her fiancee, Dan, of Butler, Nichelle Wenberg of Portersville and A.O. Cheyenne Douthett, who is serving in the U.S. Navy, and her husband, Dylan, of Portersville.

DELESS — Friends of Bradford E. DeLess, who died Saturday, June 27, 2015, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Kitchen, pastor of East Butler Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.
