Marjorie J. Hardt

Marjorie J. Hardt, 82, of Cranberry Township died Sunday morning at Ellwood City Hospital.

Born on Nov. 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna May McCully Edwards.

Marjorie had been a bookkeeper for the Cranberry Sewer and Water Authority and Auld and Associates in Allison Park. She had also served as an election volunteer in Cranberry Township.

She had played in local card clubs for over 50 years and was an avid bowler at Freeway and Mars Lanes.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Ann McDowell (Donald) of McDonald, Pa., and Becky Yockey (Dean) of Palmyra, Pa.; a son, Gary W. Hardt of Cranberry Township; her grandchildren, Sarah McDowell, Melissa Ballantine (Brad), Jennifer, Emily, Kimberly and Angela Yockey and Johnathan W. Hardt (Sara); and her brother, Robert Edwards Jr. (Shirley) of Valencia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne J. Hardt, who she married on Nov. 29, 1952, and who died on March 21, 1992.

HARDT — Friends of Marjorie J. Hardt, who died Sunday, May 31, 2015, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Goossen, pastor of the Crestview Community Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless Township.
