Boy Scouts honor retired doctor, Care Chiropractic
The Moraine Trails Council of the Boy Scouts will honor retired orthopedic surgeon Dr. Barry Hootman and Care Chiropractic Center as the District's 2015 recipients of the Butler County Good Scout Awards.
They will be feted at a Good Scout Award reception, which raises funds for scouting programs, at 5:30 p.m. June 18 at Conley Resort.
Hootman has been and continues to be an outstanding community supporter. He and his wife, Sue, believe scouting is a good way to help the positive youth development of children throughout Butler County, and they consistently give of their time and talent to benefit youth.
Also being honored is Care Chiropractic, Dr. Stuart J. Surkosky, director, as the Good Scout Company of the Year.Care Chiropractic on Evans City Road is a driving force in scouting because it believes scouting provides young men and women with the opportunity to do more than they thought possible.The reception is being organized by Cranberry Township businessman Mike Hall and Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe.For information or to attend, contact the Moraine Trails Council at 724-287-6791.
