These items have been collected from various police departments.

Butler Police

8:12 p.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt when cars driven by Morgan B. McLaughlin, 19, of Butler Township and Thomas P. Walters, 26, of Butler collided at Main and Brady streets. Walters, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.

Monday — Police charged Colton E. Cumberland, 19, of Petrolia with drugged driving stemming from a two-vehicle collision about 5:30 p.m. March 31 on South Monroe Street.

Cumberland and the other driver, Nancy J. Miles, 56, of Butler Township, were both taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after the crash.

In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Cumberland is charged with careless driving.

11:24 a.m. Friday — Cindy Lee Anderson, 35, of Clay Township was arrested after she was caught allegedly shoplifting two items, worth a combined $32, at the Kmart store at Pullman Square.

Anderson, who has three prior convictions for shoplifting, was arraigned on a felony count of retail theft. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail following arraignment.

Butler Twp. Police

Tuesday — Police charged Kelly J. Hinkle, 37, and Rebecca J. Wilkinson, 35, both of Butler, with shoplifting merchandise about 6:40 p.m. May 3 at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Some of the alleged store items were found in the women’s purses.

Hinkle is also is accused of giving police a bogus name after she was stopped.

Hinkle is charged with felony retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft and two counts of false identification to law enforcement authorities. Wilkinson is charged with a summary count of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft.

Tuesday — Brianna J. Hoover, 19, of Butler was charged with theft for allegedly stealing jewelry March 11 from a home in the 100 block of South Duffy Road.

Monday — Brittney R. Rudolph, 31, of Saxonburg was charged with theft in connection with a money order taken May 4 from a home in the 500 block of Hansen Avenue. Rudolph had been staying at the home when she allegedly swiped the money order.

Police said Rudolph later tried unsuccessfully to cash the money order at a township store via a third person.

5:23 p.m. Saturday — Kristin A. Rummel, 25, of Slippery Rock was caught with suspected drugs and other contraband following a traffic stop on Whitestown Road. Rummel is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid inspection.

Friday — Norma B. Nieto, 43, of Pittsburgh was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop April 15 on Mulberry Court. Police found Nieto just before 7:10 p.m. in a car stopped at Heartland Estates.

Moments earlier another motorist had called 911 to report seeing a car “all over the roadway, almost causing a vehicle accident” on Whitestown Road headed toward South Eberhart Road.

Police said they smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol of coming from Nieto. She failed several field sobriety tests and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology reports later showed Nieto’s blood-alcohol level was 0.265 percent, or more than three times the state’s 0.08 percent legal limit for alcohol. She is charged with driving under the influence, driving with an open bottle of alcohol and careless driving.

State Police, Butler

5:20 p.m. Monday — Ariel J. Hillwig, 19, of Butler was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a wire fence along Mahood Road just west of Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township. Hillwig, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the teenager was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. West Sunbury volunteer firefighters assisted police at the scene.
