The Knoch baseball team's 15-2 season was rewarded with the No. 2 seed for the WPIAL Class AAA playoffs when the brackets were released Friday.

The Knights will play Belle Vernon at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Chapel.

Mars will play Central Valley at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chippewa.

Here's a look at where the other Butler County teams were seeded:

• In Quad-A, Seneca Valley got the No. 3 seed and will play Latrobe at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Chapel. Butler was seeded 15th and will play Plum at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shaler.

• In Class A, Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic drew Rochester in the first round and will play at 2 p.m. at Chippewa.

Girls lacrosseThe Mars girls lacrosse team, who were co-section champions, will host Moon in the first round of the WPIAL Division II playoffs at 6 p.m. Thursday.Seneca Valley will travel to Chartiers Valley to take on the Colts at 6 p.m. Thursday.
