BUTLER TWP — A motorcyclist was hurt Monday afternoon in a crash on McCalmont Road, authorities said.

A medical helicopter flew the driver of the cycle to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries after the accident shortly before 3:30 p.m. The cyclist was reportedly wearing a helmet, according to a 911 call.

Butler Township police are investigating but an accident report was not immediately available. The wreck happened up the hill from the railroad tracks toward Meridian.

Butler Township Fire District 3 and Butler Ambulance Service assisted police.
