PSAC tourney complete

David Summerfield collected three hits, four RBI and scored three runs Saturday as Millersville defeated East Stroudsburg, 13-4, in the PSAC Championship Game at Kelly Automotive Park.

The Marauders (42-9) pounded out 17 hits in completing an undefeated run through the four-day, double-elimination tournament.

Summerfield had a home run and double among his three hits. Mitch Stoltfus contributed a double, two singles and two RBI for Millersville.

Reid Anderson, one of four Millersville p[itchers, worked four innings in relief and allowed one run in getting the victory.

Conner Crookham paced East Stroudsburg (31-19) with a homer, single and three RBI. The Warriors committed five errors.

East Stroudsburg reached the title game by eliminating Seton Hill, 8-5, earlier in the day. Andrew Furber pitched 8.1 innings in that game, striking out five and scattering 10 hits to get the victory.

Drew Hercik belted two homers and a single, collecting four RBI to lead the Warriors.

Nick Sell homered for Seton Hill (42-11) while Butler graduate Cody Herald, Chris Miller, Anthony Fanelli and Taylor Schmidt all had two hits.

There were six home runs hit in the two games Saturday. The tournament produced 44 home runs in the 14 games played overall.
