2 crashes this morning keep Cranberry police busy

CRANBERRY TWP — One female driver was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries in one of two vehicle crashes this morning.

Firefighters were called about 8:30 a.m. to Commonwealth Drive for a two-vehicle crash involving an SUV and a sedan. Fire officials said the driver of the sedan, who was reportedly wearing her seat belt, was conscious and alert when she was taken via Cranberry Township Emergency Medical Services to a hospital.

The driver of the SUV appeared uninjured.

At 8:55 a.m., first responders were alerted to another two-vehicle crash on Route 19 in the township just north of Rowan and Ogle View roads.

A pickup truck and a small dump truck were off the southbound side of the road when crews arrived. No further information regarding that crash was immediately available.

As of 9:45 a.m., emergency crews were still on scene.

Assisting township police are the township ambulance service and fire departments from Cranberry, Zelienople and Harmony.
