The Butler County Symphony Orchestra will celebrate “The Power of Music” for its 2015-16 season. The schedule includes:

“Music with a Conscience,” Oct. 3, with classical music.

“Psycho Live @55,” Nov. 7, a concert featuring Alfred Hitchcock’s 55-year-old classic film “Psycho” with orchestral accompaniment. This performance is for mature audiences.

“Holiday Traditions,” Dec. 5, a family-friendly Butler County tradition.

“Marianne Cornetti Returns,” Feb. 6, 2016, an evening with Butler County native and mezzo-soprano Marianne Cornetti.

“At the Movies,” March 5, 2016, including themes from favorite movies including “Star Wars,” “Superman” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark”

“Beethoven’s Ninth,” April 9, 2016, the last symphony Beethoven wrote. The Slippery Rock University Concert Choir will join soloists Shannon Kessler Dooley, Katherine Drago, Robert Frankenberry and Timothy LeFebvre.
