Candidate Night set April 29 in Cranberry

CRANBERRY TWP — Butler County residents will get a chance to hear the 14 candidates running for county commissioner at a Meet the Candidate Night at 7 p.m. April 29 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center meeting room.

Each candidate will have a two-minute introduction and will be asked to answer one question selected at random, followed by a concluding statement.

Ten Republicans and four Democrats are running.

The Republicans are James Butler, Kim Geyer, Jim Keffalas, Mark Lux, Lisa Metcalfe, Bob O’Neill, Leslie Osche, Jeff Smith, Larry Thompson and Justin Trainor.

The Democrats are incumbent Commissioner Jim Eckstein, Kevin Boozel, Dave Johnston and Jerry Johnston.

The candidates are seeking one of two nominations for each party in the May 19 primary. Incumbent Republican Commissioners Bill McCarrier and Dale Pinkerton are not running.
