Just putting my two cents in on the stupidest thing that I ever heard, and that is the fact that a few people are trying to take our (not their) senior center away from us at the Winfield Fire Hall.

They want to have only two places open in Butler County and close the other eight.

Some of us drive to the center. We are too old to drive to Butler, and to catch the BART bus, we would have to get up at 6:30, hurry to eat and get dressed to catch it.

Most of the senior citizens in the survey said they will just stay home, they won’t go. What will they do at home? Sit all day and stare out the window the rest of their lives.

Here at the fire hall we have about 30 people who enjoy seeing our friends, playing bingo and doing crafts. Don’t take that away from us.
