Butler PoliceMonday — Police filed a pair of drug charges against Amanda Lea White, 34, of Butler after she was caught with suspected heroin and crack cocaine last week at West Diamond Street and Madison Avenue.Officers found White about 5 p.m. April 6 after getting a call reporting drug activity. A search turned up 17 stamp bags of suspected heroin, two baggies of suspected crack, a broken pill of alprazolam and a syringe, according to court documents.White is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Thursday — Meghan E. Lynch, 20, of Butler Township was charged with stealing merchandise and money from the Pullman Square Kmart store where she worked earlier this month.Police said store surveillance video April 4 showed Lynch taking six items valued at a combined $23.65. She also allegedly took $100 from the store, according to court documents.Lynch is charged with theft and retail theft.

Butler Twp PoliceTuesday — Maudie E. Cochran, 25, and Joshua D. Walker, 23, both of Kittanning were charged in connection with a shoplifting incident March 24 at the Tractor Supply store at Alameda Plaza. Police said the pair walked out of the store without paying for $2,300 in merchandise.Cochran and Walker are both charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit retail theft, both felonies. Cochran also is charged with a felony count of retail theft.State Police, Butler12:26 a.m. Saturday — Mark S. Myers, 55, of Donegal Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 at the Route 68 off-ramp in Summit Township. Police said they stopped Myers’ pickup truck after it crossed both the fog line to the right and skip line to the left several times.He admitted having “a couple” of beers, and appeared to be impaired, according to court documents. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test.The test, documents said, showed his blood-alcohol was 0.183 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to DUI, police charged Myers with failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

State Police, FranklinTuesday — A Rimersburg man reported that $740 and a pocket knife were stolen from his pants while he was at UPMC Northwest in Seneca for heart treatment. The property was taken between 7 p.m. Monday and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

State Police, Kittanning2:35 p.m. Tuesday — William B. Hall, 66, of Kittanning was hurt when he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle and crashed on Morgan Road in Sugarcreek Township. Hall, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the ATV. He suffered a moderate injury, a police report said.

State Police, MercerMonday — Police charged Kelly Jo Carrigan, 39, of Ford City with misdemeanor assault stemming from an April 5 altercation at a home on Main Street in Manor Township.Carrigan is accused of punching a 23-year-old Apollo woman in the face. The alleged victim’s tooth was loosened in the fracas. Police said when a 23-year-old Brackenridge, Allegheny County, woman intervened, Carrigan punched her, too, in the nose.The suspect is charged with simple assault and harassment.

State Police, Mercer2:59 a.m. Tuesday — Police for the second time in five days cited Primanti Brothers on Route 208 in Springfield Township for having a false alarm. The previous citation was issued because the restaurant had four false alarms in the past year.
