Margaret Young

Margaret Young of Butler celebrated her 85th birthday with a family dinner.

The former Margaret Hipple was born April 8, 1930, in Butler. She married Edward Young on Nov. 27, 1952, at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.

She has eight children, David Young of Butler, Debra Young-Podbros of Cranston, R.I., Diane McDonald of Chicora, Daryl Young of Butler, Doris Young-Peters of Butler, Duane Young of Russellville, Ark., Denis Young of Butler and Deron Young of Butler. She also has 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is a retired registered nurse who graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing. Young is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.
