Frank Leonberg

Frank H. Leonberg, 80, of Forward Township, Mars, died Thursday afternoon at his home.

Born in Cranberry Township on Oct. 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Nellie Emerick Leonberg Sr.

Frank was a metal fabricator for Flowline Corporation in New Castle.

He was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church, where he was a former elder and served 18 years on the cemetery and grounds committee.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Gifford Leonberg, who he married on June 2, 1955; two daughters, Vicky L. Leonberg (Allan) and Teresa A. Kissane (Bob), both of Forward Township; his grandsons, Jacob and Lucas (Mindy) Bark; his great-grandson, Liam Bark; his sister, Donna Pegher (Donald) of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Blank, Marjorie Schaudt and Janet Moore; and by his brother, Oran Leonberg.

LEONBERG — Friends of Frank H. Leonberg, who died Thursday, April 2, 2015, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, with the Rev. Dr. Peter deVries, pastor, officiating.
