Netanyahu wins

On March 17, Benjamin Netanyahu was elected to a fourth term as prime minister of Israel.

Although the majority of newspapers and TV newscasts were quick to report only the exit polls indicating Netanyahu was neck-and-neck with Labour Party candidate Isaac Herzog, it should be clarified that these reports were not the election results. Netanyahu was re-elected by a wide margin.

This proves to me that the Lord Almighty is sovereign and does answer prayer.

As a last-minute caveat, Netanyahu stated there will be no Palestinian state within the present borders of Israel while he is prime minister. This accomplishes two things:

n He was turning the tables on President Obama and John Kerry, both of whom have advocated breaking Israel into two states to accommodate the Palestinians; thus placing these two so-called leaders in an embarrassing position. Netanyahu is known for keeping his word; the administration of the United States has proven it does not.

n He was alerting the world to the fact that Israel is not going to tolerate any more aggression against its people such as has been done in the past on a continual basis. This may just lead to a pre-emptive strike to prevent any nation from acquiring a nuclear bomb for aggressive action.

Netanyahu has gained considerable strength and power as a result of this election. And, he did it through adverse conditions set up by our very own president and thought to be financed by the American taxpayer. I have written my elected representatives with a demand that Obama publicly return all money spent on this useless, illegal and embarrassing venture to the U.S. treasury.

By the way, being asked to speak to a joint session of Congress was the best thing that could have happened — as America, under the Obama administration, has openly shown much support for the Islamic nations along with the Muslim religious groups. I am grateful that my congressional representative supported his visit by being present for Netanyahu’s speech.

I believe the events of the past six years are rapidly opening the door to the final conflict of nations known as Armageddon.
