Joyce M. Freshcorn, 77, of Butler passed away Monday afternoon at her home.

Born on Dec. 28, 1937, in New York, she was a daughter of the late Hans H. Becker and Bertha Rekich Becker.

Joyce was a homemaker and was born and raised Roman Catholic. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, shopping and was involved with the Girl Scouts.

Surviving are her daughter, Judith Freshcorn Snyder, and her son, Dale Freshcorn, both of Butler; her five grandchildren, Heather Palm of Greenville, Shawna Alben of Slippery Rock, Kenneth Snyder Jr. of Butler, Thomas Snyder of Butler and Michele Snyder of Cabot; and her eight great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Hannah, Jordan, Bethany, Wesley, Case, Ridge and Luke.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and her sister.
