Michele Martha Day, 61, of Butler passed away at 10:26 a.m. Saturday at her sister's home, where she lived.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1953, in Butler to Fred Thomas Sr. and the late Shirley Ann King Thomas.

Michele was a lifetime member of the East Butler Firemen's Club.

She enjoyed spending time at her home away from home — her camp in Slippery Rock — and, before his passing, riding with her husband “Pete” on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Michele especially enjoyed spending her time with her nieces, Shannon Stevenson and her husband, Ryan, and their children, Case “Lil Man” and Hadley “Tink,” Brittany Scott, and Brandi Scott and her two sons, Jimi “Peanut” and Axl “Tigger,” with whom she lived.

Michele is survived by her two sons, David Gaiser and his wife, Jayme, of Connoquenessing and Ernest Gaiser of Connoquenessing; her four grandchildren, Aleesha and April Gaiser of Connoquenessing, Amanda Morrison of Florida, and Ashlee Morrison of Connoquenessing; her great-grandchild, Jordan Gaiser of Connoquenessing; her father, Fred Thomas Sr. of Connoquenessing; her two sisters, Val-Dean Scott and her husband, Randy, of Connoquenessing Township and Corinne Thomas of Butler; her two brothers, Fred Thomas Jr. and his wife, Terri, of Clemmons, N.C., and Devin Thomas and his wife, Cindy, of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Arthur “Pete” Day, who she married in 1980. They spent 32 years together until his passing in 2013.

Day — According to her wishes, there will be no visitation for Michele Martha Day, who died Saturday, March 14, 2015. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, 206 Main St., Connoquenessing, with Pastor Kurt Knobel officiating. Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates.Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
